The story behind this set is a crazy one! Dj’s Playgirls and I drove 2 hours outside of Vegas to the sand dunes but when we got there, it was way too windy to shoot. However, because we drove all the way out we were going to try and shoot anyway. We drove up to the edge of the dunes and went to look for a covered spot to shoot. The wind was whipping sand everywhere, we were getting sand blasted no matter where we were. We went back to my car to leave and found my car stuck in the sand. The wind had buried the tires. We were STUCK. I called for a tow truck, but they said that it would be 5 hours for the truck to arrive. So we braved the sand and got some shots anyway. As we were shooting, a thunderbird blasted by us upside down overhead. He was so low I thought he was going to crash into the top of the dunes. 2 seconds later, another one zoomed by. We got our own private show! It was unfortunate that we couldn’t shoot more. Fastforward and the tow truck arrives, the dunes are about 2 miles off the side of the highway and we watch the truck drive towards us. About half a mile away from us he stops. We’re confused at first until we see him get out, grab a shovel, and try to dig himself out of the sand. He got stuck too! It was another 8 hours before a second tow truck arrived. Luckily I called my parents and my dad was able to pull us out with his truck and a ratchet strap (he also pulled out the stuck tow truck). As we were leaving, we watched the second tow truck almost get stuck. It was a crazy (and long) night but we still had fun!
